Honestly, this yarn exceeded my expectations. Although I should know better, The Fibre Co. makes beautiful yarns. When testing this yarn, I picked the Small Fry to knit by Samantha Guerin. I thought it would be a simple yet telling knit with all that texture. I have to say, as I got going, I was shocked by how beautiful the stitch definition was. I simply couldn't stop oohing and aahing while knitting it. The fiber has a soft halo and it is quite soft. I won't say 5 yarn balls soft, but still, totally doable for me to wear around my neck considering my sensitive skin. With it's low price point, it's an incredible deal. It's also a perfect yarn to substitute for those projects calling for a mohair. With this yarn, you don't have to hold a yarn together with a mohair to create the look. You just need this yarn! What cost savings! And you'll get a gorgeous fabric! So... really happy we decided to give this yarn a try. I think it's a perfect addition to our collection of Knitworthy Yarns. |
