This gorgeous yarn has a glistening silk core with a gentle halo of super soft alpaca like soft pillowy clouds hence the name Cumulus.
This yarn is a delight to knit with, an alternative to mohair, the combination of the delicate alpaca halo and the smooth silk core creates the softest knits with a beautiful drape and a delicate haze without being itchy.
Cumulus creates a delicate fabric on its own and works beautifully when held with all different weight yarns. It elevates the cozy factor.

WOW, I am in love! I can't say I have ever been a "fuzzy sweater" fan, but this baby Suri Alpaca is amazing. It's not fuzzy, it creates a halo and is so warm and cozy, with No itch...I can't wear mohair at all. I have been swatching Cumulus with anything I can find, and the results are amazing! It has opened up so many more patterns by filling in the gaps and adding just enough extra fiber to take your worsted to an Aran or Bulky and that fingering to a DK. There are several options with the colors too...add it to a neutral for a marled look or pick a color match to add weight and depth! It truly elevates yarn to the next level of squishy! |
Oh my... this yarn is so delightfully soft! It really does have the perfect name. We've been searching high and low for an alternative to mohair and couldn't be more thrilled to have found this yarn! This opens up so many new project ideas for us. This lace weight beauty is a perfect match for all those cozy and soft pattern designs suggesting you hold 2 yarns together. Oh and did you see the colors?! Yum!! |
