Wow, this is a heavenly fingering weight and so incredibly versatile! Straight knitting is a joy, squishy and it has a low twist so it creates a very soft, smooth fabric. Great stitch definition for cables and open work. So many patterns seem to require fingering to be held with something else, but I am not a huge mohair fan. I held 2 strands of this light fingering and it created a gorgeous plump fabric, but again smooth and consistent due to the low twist. This Organic Merino would be lovely for baby garments. I love that it’s Non-Superwash, I think it is softer with less chance of growing when blocked. Although it can’t be tossed in the washing machine, I never do anyway. I prefer non-treated, chemical free yarns for all ages and the environment. |
This is Camellia Fiber Company's Organic Merino Worsted's little sibling. Just like its bigger sibling, it's carefully sourced, beautifully spun, and hand-dyed in small batches. It's squishy soft with beautiful stitch definition and a dream to work with! A perfect choice for lighter-weight garments or accessories! |
